AN EXPOSITION OF PSALM 91

This Psalm has been a delight to my heart over the years, resounding in my ears through the times and seasons. It opens with wonderfully knitted, refreshing and assuring words for every one with the heart of seeking the ageless God. “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91:1).As the years keep on rolling, the world is becoming very sophisticated and insecure than ever.

The economic down turn, several flues and the numerous hurricanes are scaring enough. Yet those who believe and draw closer to the creator of the world are safe, walking through life with full assurance of hope, smiling at the world's threatening future. To those who believed and are saved by the redemptive power of the blood of Jesus, His name has become a strong tower, they run to it and are saved (Prov. 18:10.)

The world is not worthy of us; so through the suffering and shame of Christ, we are brought to the presence of God with whom all beautiful things abound. Dwelling under the shadow of the Almighty is the greatest thing that could happen to anyone. No amount of human experience would ever be qualified enough to fully describe what transpires in the shelter of the Most High. More than exhilarating! So much power and rest abound in His shelter. There He gives beyond measure, the abundance of His eternal goodies.

Well, that shelter and secret place is that spiritual realm you were brought when you accepted Christ as your Lord and An Ancient Camp Of Refuge (AN EXPOSITION OF PSALM 91) personal saviour. Many believers just at their arrival, start looking beyond the shelter and through deception are lured astray. They inflict themselves with so much injuries and pains.

Remember that camp is not a war hostage camp; it is the very camp where souls are restored and sanctified for glory. Though it takes the suffering of Christ Jesus to bring people in, it takes diligence and just simple obedience to live in there. It takes discipline, patience and contentment to benefit from the abundance in His presence. You cannot set your own rules and command the Most High the way you like it.

You need reverence and obedience; they sustain you in His presence. Every act in that secret place is an act of self-denial, making Him your source for all things and trusting His sufficiency in all circumstances.

This camp would forever remain the stronghold for all who seek the face of the Lord. They would never be harmed by the powers and the wicked forces of this world. This camp is an invisible boundless hiding place on the earth; just a few people have found it

Those in this camp are them that seek asylum as refugees from the hurts and the disasters of the prince of this age; and the wrath of God that awaits the universe.
